Fun Family Shoot at American Tobacco Campus | Durham Family Photographer

Candid photos are truly some of my favorite images to capture! I had the honor of capturing photos with the Varnado family recently, and they were SO fun to work with! They recently moved to Durham and wanted to capture this move and transition in their lives, so it made sense to document their photos at the American Tobacco Campus! It’s one of the most iconic and popular locations that truly captures the essence of Durham. We had SO much fun laughing, clapping our hands, swinging, and playing with BUBBLES! Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorite highlights below!

A Fun Porch Portrait | Raleigh Family Photographer

“Yesterday's the past, tomorrow's the future, but today is a GIFT. That's why it's called the present.”

I had a wonderful time taking photos for the Geary family again! We captured some beautiful porch portraits of the whole family (while maintaining good social distancing!), as well as some beautiful candid shots of them having fun together outside. They seriously have the most cheerful smiles, and seeing the joy and connection they have with one another is precious!

Even though we have all been staying home during this crazy time, capturing memories of your family in this season is so important. Kids are growing and changing every day, and they are only this little once! You may be concerned about safety, and I want to assure you that your safety is important to me, too. During the shoot, there will be no contact and I’ll be standing 6 feet away to maintain good social distancing. We don’t know how long this pandemic will last, but don’t let it hold you back from capturing memories! Feel free to contact me if you have questions or if you’d like to chat more!

Outdoor Family Session at Umstead Park | Raleigh Family Photographer

I had such an awesome time capturing photos for Erin and Jason’s ADORABLE family at Umstead Park! Erin got in touch with me in the fall to do a family photo shoot, and I learned that they were in the middle of moving from New York to Chicago. They were staying with family in NC and desired to capture this special moment in time as they make their transition to Chicago!

One of the most memorable things about this shoot was how much their son, Miles, LOVED to stand and balance on his dad’s hands! His dad would basically hold him up with ONE hand, while Miles would clap and sing a song—it was so cute and funny, especially the photos we captured towards the end! I also thought it was hilarious that his newborn baby brother slept for pretty much the whole photo shoot! Most of all, what I loved about this family was their energy, playfulness, and laughter! It was endearing to see how much fun they have being together :) Documenting your days together is so important because life truly flies by!

Enjoy some of my favorite highlights below and getting to know this lovely family!
