Celebrating 10 Years of Marriage | Raleigh Couple Photographer

Every season of life is worth celebrating, and wedding anniversaries are definitely something to commemorate! I recently had the honor of capturing 10th wedding anniversary photos for my dear friends, Lauren and Ryan. It was such a JOY photographing this special milestone for them! We captured their photos at the gorgeous NC Museum of Art in Raleigh, and it was a beautiful summer evening. Lauren mentioned that she wanted to capture photos of their wedding rings, and it was so fun to capture some creative shots with the warm golden sunlight behind them. She also still had her tiara from her wedding as well as her red Virginia Tech heels, and it was SO awesome to incorporate them into the shots at the end! Congrats again to this wonderful couple, and enjoy scrolling through some of my favorite moments below!

A Winter Engagement Session at Historic Yates Mill Park | Raleigh Engagement Photographer

I had the honor of working with Emily and Justin recently for their engagement photos! They are such a sweet couple, and I thought it was awesome that they’re both dentists. I captured this special season of life for them at the beautiful Historic Yates Mill Pond Park in Raleigh. It was a SUPER windy and chilly day, but that didn’t stop us from having fun and capturing gorgeous photos!

We started off by doing photos at the iconic waterfall and mill. Because it was so windy, I had to pose them strategically so E’s hair wouldn’t fly over her face. I positioned them in a way that would help us work with the wind, versus against the wind (i.e., I had Emily facing towards the wind, and I placed their heads together to “hold” her hair down).

We then captured some photos by the awesome rustic log building. Not only did it help block the wind, but the sun was setting SO perfectly behind them! I also wanted to incorporate some symmetry and sun flares in the shots—and boy, I was thrilled with the results! We then ended the session capturing some beautiful candid shots of them in a small grassy field. See more stunning photos from this wonderful engagement session below!

A Special Portrait Session at Home | Hillsborough Family Photographer

I had such a sweet time working with this lovely couple! They wanted to capture some photos of themselves to remember this season of their life. I thought that was SO precious—every season of life is worth capturing and remembering! I learned that they are both musical people; the husband plays the guitar and the wife plays the piano. They were so talented! As a musician myself, I thought it was meaningful for them to incorporate their musical talents as part of the shoot! They also love playing Wordle (I’m a fan of the game too!), and usually play together in their sunroom each morning. It was so special and sweet to capture them doing an activity they love together! See more beautiful photos of this wonderful couple below!
