It was such a joy to capture family photos for my dear friends (and former neighbors!) recently! We captured photos at their new home in Durham, and it was such a beautiful spring day. Their two boys were SO funny, energetic, and silly. I loved how their older son would have moments being super affectionate, giving mom, dad, or his little brother hugs and kisses! We also had a blast playing on their “rock climbing” tree, and had a ton fun making gigantic BUBBLES (seriously the biggest I’ve ever seen!) in their yard. I had a blast working with the W family recently, and we captured their family photos at the beautiful Umstead Park in Raleigh. They were such a sweet and relaxing family, and I LOVED how fascinated their daughter was with rocks! She collected a ton of rocks during our session and wouldn’t put them down :) I also loved how mom and dad were both so funny, silly, and creative when it came to making their little girl laugh—they did their own version of “Baby Shark” and replaced the words with “chunky monkey.” It was the cutest thing! I had the wonderful honor of photographing the G family recently, and their little girl was also named Genevieve! This was the first time I’ve had a session with someone who shared the same name as me and it was so special :)

We had a blast capturing baby G’s one year milestone, and I had so much fun capturing the whole family interacting and playing with one another. One of my favorite parts of the shoot was seeing how much baby G LOVED sitting in the small corner next to the couch, and playing peek-a-boo with mom and dad! It truly was the cutest thing. We also a lot of fun outside, and I loved watching her explore the outdoors. She also loved pinwheels, and it was so fun to capture her fascination with them!
